VIZQ, a team of three founders and a robust team of advisors with a shared passion for improving the lives of children and families through speech therapy, has taken up the challenge of bringing the latest and most engaging technological advancements of AI and VR to the forefront of speech therapy.

It all began with John Mina, an expert in speech language pathology with 12 years of experience in hands-on patient care. John fully understood the challenges faced by the industry and was driven to change the way speech therapy was delivered. As a practicing Speech Language Pathologist, John knew that he needed some help to succeed in bringing his vision to market.

Thus, John brought his passion to Benjamin Albaum, with whom he had previously and still worked in the outpatient therapy space.  Benjamin quickly realized the opportunity to truly change people's lives and turned around and brought this to Alex Elias, a business strategist and builder that he knew well from previous experiences.

The timing could not have been more perfect. Alex had just exited another organization and was looking for an opportunity to build something that would benefit children's lives that have special needs.  His younger autistic cousin, Emily, has been one of the most important people in Alex's life and he really wanted to use that inspiration to build better lives for children like her.  Upon bringing this to her to validate, Emily was brimming with excitement for what this could mean for children like her.  Using that as a basis, we validated with students, parents, clinicians, special educators, and many more stakeholders.  The demand for this product was real within every group.

Upon bringing this feedback back to Ben and John, the three of us knew that the world needed this technology.

From there, VIZQ was born.
